A charming watercolour painting of a Market Place in Caudebec, France by Mary Forster. It is inscribed on an old label verso. The scene depicts a vegetable stall with the women selling from the covered pitch.

Provenance: From the Estate of Sir Henry Rider Haggard, the author (1856-1925). It is in a decorative gilt frame. A lovely painting.

The actual size of the painting is 33cm high x 24 cm wide. With frame it is 54cm x 43cm.
