A Rare Georgian Tortoiseshell and Gilt Music Box – c.1830

Description

A rare Georgian tortoiseshell and gilt music box. It plays 2 different tunes. Each playing for just under 30 seconds. The centre of the box is beautifully decorated with a cartouche of a dance. It measures 10.5cm wide x 7cm depth. There is a slight warp to the top right where the wind- up key is kept. A lovely collectors’ piece.
