A Rare Pair of Blue & White 1st Period Worcester Cornucopia c.1756

£495.00

A pair of rare 18th century 1st period Worcester blue and white cornucopias – c 1756. The bodies of the pieces are press moulded with landscapes and animals and there is a blue border (this is an unrecorded design). They are a good size measuring 24cm in length and 16cm width. The overall condition is good. There is a crack on the inside of one of the cornucopia and a tiny chip (almost invisible) to the top edge. The other one is near perfect with a small firing crack inside. Both have blue workmans’ marks to the reverse.
