A superb Georgian apothecary cabinet with two doors and a brass carrying handle. The double doors open to show a fitted interior with 17 glass medicine bottles. There are five drawers with turned bone handles, containing many accessories including a pestle and mortar, glass vials, a funnel and scales. The most unusual part of the cabinet is the poison compartment at the back. A sliding door opens to reveal 5 additional medicine bottle, mainly used for poisons. There is an original key. A rare piece. It is in good condition with some small age related wear. It measures 27cm x 31cm x 20.5cm.
